Talk about quick turnaround. The Aberdeen Area Arts Council approached us recently to create their 2009/2010 Arts Season brochure. The catch- they needed it in-hand in two weeks to send out with a big mailer we were helping to produce. What did that mean for Nathen, the designer of their material? A quick client meeting, a few short lunches, lots of Modest Mouse and Kings of Leon, and one late evening.
We received the brochure request at 4:30 p.m. on a Friday and had the first polished proof to the AAAC by Tuesday morning. Their executive committee gathered and ecstatically approved the new look. By the following Monday, the brochures were in-hand, stuffed in envelopes and mailed Wednesday. A week and a half turn around-that’s what we do.

Music fuels our creative juices around here, and we each have different tastes. Yes, it seems to all overlap into the alternative genre, but walking around the office a person is apt to hear some interesting song choices.

Travis likes his mainstream alternative music, and will listen to anything, so long as it’s from the year 2004. Nothing like a little Coldplay to calm you down during a stressful day of design work.
