Letterpress Light, a Washington DC printing boutique, was going to be featured in Brides Magazine and had no corporate identity. They liked what they saw on productionmonkeys.com and contacted us to develop a logo and design a site so their business would look as good as their wedding invites.

Here’s a sneak peak of the logo we came up with. It features abstracted L letters that also form the initials (H & N) of the founder of the company.
Their Moroccan themed invite can be seen in the May/June issue of Brides Magazine.

Time to wake up from winter hibernation and share with our blog readers some of the work we’ve been up to the past few months.
SunDialManor.com is a user friendly site for residents, prospective residents, family and employees. With intuitive backend site management, the director of Sun Dial Manor can change out information in just a few clicks, whether it be a new blog post or an update to upcoming events. Our favorite design element? The menu rollover – scroll over it quickly to see a cool color change effect.
Our pal Cory Geffre recently launched his new landing page CoryGeffre.com. The masterminds behind the design? Production Monkeys, of course. Cory requested a design that would guide prospective clients to exactly where they need to be in just one click. This landing page branches out into numerous other sites designed by the monkeys, one even featuring Cory on currency.
Need a plate for your bike? We can hook you up at LipzPanelz.com. It’s the most intuitive industry website out there. Visit the site to design your own plate – no, not just pick what design you like, literally “design your plate”. Pick your colors, fonts, logos, number and name. Try it out at LipzPanelz.com and don’t forget to become their friend on facebook too!

Last evening, February 14th, the city of Aberdeen celebrated the most romantic day of the year with one of the most unique film festivals around. The Fischgaard Short Film Project was hosted at the Capitol Theatre in Downtown, featuring an array of incredibly creative and bizarrely fun and funny movies. Congrats to our pals Shaun, Matt and the crew of 49 Hour Films on their win for technical excellent for their film The Foxhole Club, a movie mash-up of Forrest Gump and The Breakfast Club. Full of great on-liners and beautifully shot war regalia, this short is a must see.
They even let us in on the fun. Congrats to Nathen for his win of best poster design voted on by the audience at the event. Here’s a look at the poster. Props to Shaun for the great photography work and thanks to everyone who voted.
Great event everyone! See you next year, hopefully with another awesome poster for your viewing pleasure.

We’ve been hard at work on websites around here. Seeing them set live to the world is always a thrill. Here’s our newest design creation for Carrels Dentistry. The website features a ton of useful information for current and potential patients, an appointment scheduler, and even a kids corner! (Our favorite for sure.) Check it out at www.carrelsdental.com and let us know what you think!

When you’re dealing with matters of Feng Shui, you need a business card that mimics your work. That was exactly the challenge brought to the Production Monkey designers. After a bit of research into the matter, and a short office consultation from Karen, this beauty of a business card was born. The best part – turnaround for design and printing was only about a week.

A huge Production Monkeys congratulations goes out to our good pet photographer friend, Sarah Ernhart, better know as Sarah Beth of Sarah Beth Photography. We’ve know Sarah for a long time. Not to brag, but Travis worked with Sarah at a previous design co. and Nathen went to college with her. So, yeah, we know a famous photographer. And now, with her images showing up on the covers of magazines, we can brag about it.
Just grab yourself the newest edition of Minnesota Monthly and take a look at what this creative lady can do with a camera. Not only is her work featured on the cover, it’s also featured in the main article of the magazine.
Congrats again, Sarah! We’re waiting for our autographed copies to arrive in the mail.
Check out Sarah’s work in our portfolio under the James Valley Co. and visit her website here: www.sarahbethphotography.com

It’s been a busy few months around the office. Can you tell? Our last blog post was on September 24th. Since then, our main office was painted, the bosses’ birthday was celebrated, and over 1500 miles have been put onto the trusty Honda Civic, a.k.a. The Monkey-Mobile. But the best part about the past few months? We’ve been launching websites! Here’s some info about one that just went live.
We had the opportunity to work with Subway of Aberdeen, Groton, and Huron to create three corporate looking sites that offers the visitor a chance to catch up on the latest local happenings, the ability to place their order online, and even apply for a job. Plus, the sites update the local daily specials automatically and offers the viewer a valuable coupon that changes every few weeks.
Check it out, print off the coupon and use it when you visit any Subway in Aberdeen, Groton, or Huron. Say Production Monkeys sent you.

It’s that time of year again, the season of Autumn has landed in Northeastern South Dakota. And everyone knows nothing goes better with Fall than beer. So our friends at the Aberdeen Downtown Association are hosting the second annual Brews and Blues beer tasting and live music event. They came to us again this year and asked us to take charge of designing the postcard, poster and tickets. The overall design we came up with is playful and old-worldly, with a hint of modern design thrown in. Enjoy!
